Jorge Anibal Del Castillo Schiffino

Mr. Jorge Del Castillo Schiffino is a Colombian-born (1979) Architect, graduated with honors from UJTL University in Cartagena de Indias, where he was awarded the prestigious Jorge Tadeo Lozano Prize, the highest academic honor bestowed by the institution.
In 2004, after having worked for several Architectural firms in Cartagena, he relocated to Miami assuming the role of Lead Designer for a renowned, Award-Winning International Firm. His work focused on large-scale projects spanning across the United States, Latin America, and the Middle East. He also contributed to the design and construction of several luxurious private residences in prominent areas such as Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Miami Beach and Key Biscayne.
Further advancing his education, he moved to Spain in 2007 to complete a Master of Architecture from the ETSAM, the Superior Technical School of Architecture of Madrid, one of the most iconic and prestigious architecture schools in the world. During this time, he had the opportunity to collaborate with 2G Arquitectos.
In 2015 he spent a summer with RCR Arquitectes (Pritzker Prize Laureates) in Olot, researching experimental multifamily housing typologies that could be adaptable to multiple locations, climate conditions and uses.
He is a Registered Architect in his native Colombia and holds a degree in Conservation and Restoration of Architectural Heritage. Additionally, he pursued Postgraduate studies in Landscape Architecture from the University of Barcelona / BUNKA foundation and completed advanced studies in History and Theory at Harvard University GSD / edX.
In 2018, he received a nomination for the Architect of the Year Award by the Colombian Society of Architects (SCA) in recognition of his exceptional work and outstanding contributions to architecture and society, both locally and internationally.
